Gainesville, Georgia. Why did I move here? I would really like to complain all day long.
I want to complain about the humidity that dampens my lungs.
I want to complain about the fact that there are no mountains here (no, the Appalachian’s are not mountains)
I want to complain about the lack of coffee shops.
I want to complain about the depletion of originality that is fostered in Oregon.
I want to complain about making new friends because I don’t like repeating myself.
I want to complain how foreign I feel.
I want to complain about the fact that people think they know me because I was on E Squad.
Most of all I want to complain about how annoyed I am at myself for allowing these things to get to me.
I’m a pretty positive guy. And everything here in Gainesville has been immeasurably amazing. I should be praising God for this strange and wonderful place.
I praise God for a state that is greener than solar panels and free range.
I praise God for a school that disciples me to be the man that God has literally created me to be.
I praise God for JohnFrank, Dillon, Stephen, Joshua, Kevin, and John who have showed me what a real house of men in community looks like.
I praise God for my family who supports me 2,000 miles away.
I praise God for my old squad who has reminded me of why I am here in the first place.
I praise God for a workplace that I can walk into where everyone is happily willing to help others burdens.
I praise God for an apprenticeship where I am stretched beyond what I believe I am capable of doing but others know I can go further.
I praise God for a car, while looking like a smashed piece of poop, also gets me to all the places.
I praise God for the CEO of this organization who is open to talking about my feelings at anytime.
I praise God for Georgia.
