CGA Apprentices are obscure human beings. They are raising money to be discipled in community, apprenticeship, and in their personal life. It’s really not like any other apprenticeship that you’ve heard of. When you see an apprentice walking around AIM not being paid but being put to work full time you might think, “Why are they doing something like this?” 

Most people would get discipled personally from someone at their church and they can learn more about missions from college. From afar it seems like an awful waste of money and time. But apprentices are far bolder than they are mindless. 

They have decided to be discipled in the exact calling that they have heard from the Father. And instead of taking 1,000 easy steps they have decided to take 1 difficult step to achieve just that. They have decided to fundraise for something that people find difficult to see tangible. The apprentices go through many hardships alongside the staff at AIM. 

In no way am I suggesting that apprentices go through more hardships than staff. But I am presenting the beautifully intimate picture of what the apprentices have decided to live with. And the decision they made might not have been properly communicated to the staff. 

The reason they are here is to seek wisdom from the people of this organization: you. 

And even though the apprentices are seen as temporary they are still human. And human nature requires the love that God ordained. I am not here telling you what to do but all I want is to tell you what makes them feel this kind of love. 

If you see an apprentice sitting by themselves they are doing this because they think they need quiet time. In reality, anyone who would boldly break their personal bubble with the intention of getting to know them trumps that need. And after doing that, talk to others about them. Apprentices are seeking someone who can teach them more about their passions. If it can’t be you then it can be someone else. 

Ask them to have lunch with you, follow them on Instagram, read one of their blogs and let them know you read it. 

While some people go to concerts, movies, and meeting the POTUS they are chilling at their houses playing board games and getting to know their roommates. Simply because going out is not an option when the income is only going to their small food budget. Go see them in their element. 

The apprentices aren’t on some colossal call for pity. But they are seeking their desires. The desires that God has made attainable. The desire is you. Does that make you feel good? It should. Because you are of fascinating worth. 

Seek the temporary human beings. They are here for you.
