During our welcome week, 21 new apprentices and 8 returning apprentices came together for a week of solitude and community growth.

It was spectacular.

We were in a beautifully ginormous house where the owners hearts are to give people a restful getaway. Even though we had spirit filled talks, owning our inheritence, and lots of 1-on-one’s, my favorite time was playing sardines.

Have you ever played it? It’s where one person goes and hides in a place in the house and after 2 minutes or so everyone else goes and tries to find them. When you find them, you hide in that same small spot as them. It starts with 1 person hiding in a small closet to 29 people trying to hide in that small space.

It’s hilariously fun.

This was my favorite part because it was a bunch of young adults taking time to be children again. Where we all decided that it’s okay to have the joy of a child and play an insane game of hide and seek in an enormous house. This class is already extremely bonded and in the continuous flow of growing.

Here’s to the next 3 months of learning how to be a better Christian, a better missionary, and a better human.
