I love movies. Ever since I was a kid I could find rest watching these stories play out. And now I want to share with you my 10 ten movies that inspire me. And notice that all of these movies are from the 2000’s and newer. I’m not a huge fan of watching movies from outside of the time I was alive. #22forlyfe. Included is some of my favorite scenes in these movies. #funblog. Oh and beware of spoilers.

10. Warrior (2011)

I’m not going to describe this to you. Just watch it yourself. #justdoit

9. Interstellar (2014)

I am a very imaginative person. My whole life I’ve had all kinds of crazy ideas and scenarios pop into my head. And this movie is imagination. Watching this movie inspires me to not be ashamed or quiet of these ideas in my head. The clip I’m sharing shows one of those insane imaginative stories that I’ve longed to see on film. #supersad

8. Mean Girls (2004)

Yes. Inspiring. But not in the film itself to be honest. But because of the fact that the majority (and I mean MAJORITY) of Americans have seen this movie. You know you can talk about Gretchen Weiners, Glen Coco, white Africans, and pink shirts openly because everyone knows what you’re talking about. #meangurls

7. X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014)

The X-Men have always been my absolute favorite comic books. The variety, the storylines, the romance, and the continuous change brings so much to the table. In this movie specifically the mutants band together to fight for themselves as a whole. #sogood

6. The Beauty Inside (2012)

The Beauty Inside is not a movie. It’s a 6-part web series that Intel & Toshiba put together to promote their new netbook. BUT this tale is intriguing to the core. Where a man wakes up everyday in a new body. The point of the story is to show how beauty is truly on the inside, not the outside. Please watch the first episode below! #noregrets

5. The Way Way Back (2013)

This super indie film features stars such as Steve Carell, Sam Rockwell, and Maya Rudolph. This movie depicts the struggle of a teenager trudging through a summer with his mom, her boyfriend, and her boyfriends daughter. It’s inspiring because it shows a real problem. There was no need to hype this kids problems up but just to show it how it is. #bestindieever

4. The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013)

This movie inspired boldness and adventure inside me. It was also something that helped me get over that phase of feeling like missions wasn’t for me. #totheworldigo

3. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007)

This one specifically is my favorite Harry Potter movie out of all of them (book: Half-Blood Prince). It’s a favorite because of how much light is shining while being shrouded by darkness. Lord Voldemort and his followers are stirring up evil while not owning up to it. Harry is ousted as an attention seeking teenager. Despite all of these lies there is still hope. #Jesusisalive

2. The Terminal (2004)

Tom Hanks, Katherine Zeta-Jones, Zoe Saldana, and the ever powerful Stanley Tucci. I used to watch this movie repeatedly (over 100 times) on my portable DVD player. It’s a brief story on how a man is trapped in the JFK airport because he was denied entry to America. And he also couldn’t return home because his country began a revolution. It’s an inspiring tale offering foreign simplicity in a 1st world airport. #tobeamissionary

1. We Bought A Zoo (2011)

This is my all time favorite movie. A story about a grief stricken father (Matt Damon!) of two children who quit his job and bought a run down zoo. They encounter problem after problem with the zoo and in their family life. But the one thing that sticks out to me is what Matt Damon says about courage. You only need 20 seconds of insane courage to get something done. I definitely over-analyze confronting big things. When really it doesn’t take anything big. #foreverfav
